Effect of Waste Tyre Rubber Particles on Concrete Abrasion

  Rubberized concrete is a low-impact building material that replaces fine aggregate with rubber particles from old automobile tyres. Rubber particles can significantly improve the abrasion resistance of standard concrete besides offering several benefits. It has a promising future in hydraulic engineering, particularly in high-abrasion-resistance concrete building parts. However, there have been few experimental studies on the abrasion resistance of rubberized concrete and the impactful law and mechanism of rubber particles on the abrasion resistance of concrete are still unknown.
